Some of the plot lines were either conveniently solved or never addressed again. There’s a lot put into this novel as well (and there should be for nearly 500 pages of reading!). It makes some sense at the end, but I felt like Catalina should have addressed her own role in it more. I honestly didn’t really understand the issue between the two main characters to make them hate each other. Catalina is very much in her own head and can come off as immature. The beginning of the book is something to get through.

It took me about 2 days to finish it because once you get to the 20-25% range it takes off with the plot and you can’t put it down!! It’s a slow burn romance with enemies-to-lovers, workplace relationships, one bed situations, and so much more. Perhaps Aaron is perfect for her Spanish love deception. Add on the pressures of work and the gooey feeling Catalina has with Aaron’s ocean-blue eyes on her, maybe they could do it. There’s no way that they could pretend in front of her family that they’re a couple.
